The Emazys Z300 is the core photovoltaic tester and troubleshooter in the emazys product line — a professional-grade field instrument that combines Voc, Isc, insulation resistance, series resistance, and ground fault location into a single portable unit. Like all Z300-family instruments, it is Bluetooth-controlled via the emazys iOS and Android app, with automatic GPS tagging, photo capture, and real-time cloud sync to the emazys data platform.
The Z300 is designed for commissioning and O&M work on conventional and standard-efficiency PV module strings — residential, commercial, and utility-scale installations using PERC, polycrystalline, and standard monocrystalline modules. Its insulation resistance range of 0–99 MΩ meets IEC 62446-1 requirements for typical installations and its string test sequence delivers Voc, Isc, Riso, polarity, and fault position in a single workflow.
For sites using high-efficiency TOPCon, HJT, or bifacial modules with elevated capacitance and higher inrush currents at string level, the Z300 HE is the recommended instrument. The HE variant adds dedicated inrush current protection circuitry — an important consideration when working with high-density modern arrays.

Key Capabilities
Voc, Isc & String Testing
Measures open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current at string level with polarity check. Series resistance measurement helps identify connector degradation and wiring faults before they escalate.
Insulation Resistance (Riso)
Riso measurement to 99 MΩ — fully compliant with IEC 62446-1 commissioning requirements. Results are flagged against pass/fail thresholds and stored with GPS location data.
Ground Fault Location
When Riso falls below 3 MΩ, the Z300 activates tone tracing to locate the fault position within the string — significantly faster than section-by-section cable isolation.
Arc Fault Indicators
Series resistance measurement helps flag wiring conditions — degraded connectors, loose terminations, or high-resistance connections — that create the conditions for DC series arc faults over time.
Cloud & App Connected
Same Bluetooth app and emazys cloud platform as the Z300 HE. GPS tagging, photo capture, and module database integration. CSV and Excel export for reporting.
